Black Alumni Weekend 2009
We are pleased to announce that Heather Johnston ’86, Natalya Davis AB ’04 and Justin Alexander AB ‘03 will serve as Co-Chairs of the next Harvard Black Alumni Weekend. Giving to HBAS – The HBAS Annual Fund
Each year a number of alumni and friends pledge their commitment to the Harvard Black Alumni Society’s future by making a donation to the HBAS Annual Fund. Alumni donations to the Annual Fund make it possible to: maintain the HBAS website, coordinate the Black Alumni Mentoring Program, provide prospective students with copies of the HBAS Guide to Applying to Harvard College, and host activities and events that bring alumni together for fellowship and networking. The following categories may assist you in making a donation to HBAS.
v Friend: $1 - $249
v Donor: $250 - $499
v Patron: $500 - $999
v Sponsor: $1,000 - $2,499
v Benefactor: $2,500 - $4,999
v Trailblazer: 5,000+
Donations in any amount are 100% tax deductible and will entitle you to a free one year HBAS membership. Donors will also be recognized in our annual newsletter and on our website. We would also ask that you keep HBAS in mind if your employer offers a matching gift program for charitable donations. Leadership Opportunities
HBAS Student Affairs Chair- The Harvard Black Alumni Society is in search of an enthusiastic alumnus interested in joining the HBAS National Steering Committee as the HBAS Student Affairs Chair. The HBAS Student Affairs Chair will serve as a liaison between alumni and students at the College and the Professional Schools and will work with the Black Students Association Alumni Affairs Chair to oversee the Black Alumni Mentoring Program. If you are interested in this position, please send your resume and a statement (250 words or less) stating your interest in the position to hbasboston@yahoo.com.
HBAS Chat / David L. Evans List Serv
The Harvard Black Alumni Society is pleased to launch HBASChat/David L. Evans List Serv. HBASChat is an open list-serv where alumni can freely discuss topics relating to current events and university happenings and post employment and other pertinent information of interest to Harvard black alumni. Senior Admissions Officer David L. Evans also keeps alumni regularly updated of events affecting black alumni at the university. HBAS notifies alumni about events and guest speakers in their area using the email address and mailing address you have provided. In an effort to keep you informed about upcoming events, please make sure your contact information is up to date.

If you are an exisiting user, you can edit your user information and mailing list preferences by going to www.hbasonline.org and logging in using your member id.
