This year’s Brooklyn Public Library Gala will be held in honor of hip hop mogul Russell Simmons & past Board President Dr. Lucille C. Thomas. The gala will also be emceed by Harvard graduate and CNN correspondent Soledad O’Brien, who recently anchored CNN’s Black in America.

We invite you to ensure Brooklyn Public Library soars to new heights under Dr. Thomas’ leadership by making sure that the African American Ivy League alumni support this occasion.  The proceeds of the gala will go directly towards the library, one of the premier literacy sites for New York's African American and Hispanic communities.
