HBAS-DC: DCPS Beautification Day at Dunbar High School 

DCPS BEAUTIFICATION DAY 2010 August 21, 2010 8 am - 1 pm   Please join the Yale Black Alumni Association of DC for DCPS Beautification Day 2010! Beautification Day will be held this year on Saturday, August 21st, 2010, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. This annual event was established in 2005 as a citywide "spruce up" of all DC public school buildings in preparation for the first day of school. Beautification efforts will include landscaping, trash pick-up, light painting, planting flowers, and other external beautification efforts. Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes. Be aware that your clothes might get dirty due to the nature of the tasks involved. Snacks and water will be provided for all volunteers.   The YBAADC site is Dunbar High School at 1301 New Jersey Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20001. Parking is available on site. Dunbar is also less than a half mile walk from the Mt. Vernon Sq/Convention Center Metro stop on the Yellow and Green lines. If you plan on participating please RSVP to: amber.wiley@gmail.com.
