HBAS-DC: Happy Hour for Haiti Benefit-Thursday, March 4th

Harvard Black Alumni Society
This March three soldiers Johann Richards, Emmanuel Bellegarde and Gideon Fils will travel to Haiti in order to spread love to Haiti by providing tents that will provide shelter for families in need before the beginning of Haiti's rainy season. With your help, we would like to return to Haiti at the end of March with tents that will provide shelter for families in need for six months up to a year.

To support this effort, please join us for our Soldier of Love Happy Hour at the successful British import Ping Pong Dim Sum, a rampantly popular London dumpling destination newly minted in the Gallery Place/ Chinatown enclave of DC (Note: No actual table tennis is involved.)

Thursday March 4, 2010, 6-10pm

Ping Pong
900 7th Street, NW
Washington, DC

Once you get past your disappointment in not being able to consume dim sum while perfecting your forehand, you will delight in the ultra modern, palatial temple of open kitchens covered in stainless steel, dark furniture and a long hardwood bar. Grab a seat at the dim sum bar and revel in the delicious steamed bundles of king prawns and chives, snow crab and carrots, or griddled basil, chili and rice noodles.

Specials
Chicken and king prawn $5
Honey glazed ribs $7
Sticky rice seafood parcels $6
Lemon chicken $6

Price of Admittance: Free
Suggested Donation: $5 or $10

All tax deductible contributions should be made out to National Organization for the Advancement of Haitians (NOAH) with the words “for TENTS” written in the memo section. We thank you in advance for your contribution and will keep you in the loop with pictures and email updates of how your generosity is helping to shelter survivors of the recent earthquake.

Please RSVP to insure admittance at illacamila@yahoo.com
